Scientists Claim There is Intelligence Across The Milky Way – What Does This Mean For Arguments From Intelligent Design?

According to Tom Westby and Christopher J. Conselice of the American Astronomical Society (2020), there may be more than 36 Communicating Extra-Terrestial Intelligent (CETI) civilizations across the Milky Way Galaxy (Westby & Conselice, 2020).¹ ²

If it is true that there are multiple intelligent civilizations across the Galaxy and earth is but one of them, what does this mean for the Deistic/Theistic argument from Intelligent Design (I.D.)? 

For those who may be unfamiliar with the concept of I.D., it is the idea that the earth and other objects within our solar system were created to support life on earth by an intelligent designer or God-like being.
