Did you know that in Hinduism until the human soul reaches the highest state of consciousness, the soul cannot experience all things at once, but is trapped in a continuum that consists of time and space? Instead, what we experience is a sort of universal piecemeal in which we experience existence one thing at a time until we have literally experienced all things. The idea of reincarnation addresses this fact in Hindu thought to explain the process of why people die and come back in different forms.
In Hinduism, our soul never actually dies or stops existing, but goes through a long line of mortal bodies and experiences until we experience Moksha. Moksha entails liberation from the reincarnation process, such as birth, life, and death. Through each experience, our actions and behaviors determine how long it will take to reach the state of Moksha and how each of our lives will be as we journey to enlightenment and freedom.
