Evolution Does Not Explain Consciousness

There is no evolutionary reason for humans to be conscious. The fact we can comprehend the dichotomy between God and Atheism has no evolutionary reason.
  1. Why do we have consciousness?
  2. Has consciousness evolved or devolved in Homo Sapien?
  3. Could it become evolutionary to to become non- conscious?
  4. Why do we think animals don't have it?
