Omniscience is an element which deals with the concept of foreknowledge or the aspect of "knowing all." Many philosophers recognize omniscience to be a characteristic possessed only by a supernal being, such as the God of Western theology. But, the Eastern adherents of religions such as Jainism agree that omniscience is an attribute of some humans.
ㅤㅤNevertheless, what precisely does it mean to be omniscient? The term's root Latin words are "Omni" (all) and "scientia" (knowledge), and these combined come to mean "knowledge of all things."
ㅤㅤThis action is freely performed by the person, and the response is not determined by anyone or anything other than that person who could have done otherwise.
ㅤㅤImagine also that a God knew that on Monday the person did not eat dinner.
ㅤㅤHad the person eaten dinner on Monday then that would have falsified God's belief of the person not having dinner. Moreover, if God held a false assumption about the person eating dinner, then that would mean God is not omniscient. This would imply the non-existence of God since the essential part of what it means to be God requires omniscience.
ㅤㅤTherefore, this leaves a dilemma; either the person is never truly free to do (or not do) anything, or an Omniscient God does not exist.
